Decatur Police have responded to an Officer Involved shooting at Westmeade Pharmacy located at 2104 Danville Rd. According to a Police Spokesperson, a suspect was taken to the hospital to be treated for a single gunshot wound and no officers were harmed in the incident.
This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no further threat to the public.
The department has notified ALEA who will be taking over the investigation.
