The Hanceville Bulldogs will be this Friday’s Football Preview team of the week. In coach Ryan Brewer’s first season, Hanceville looks to improve on last year’s 3-7 season.
With key players coming back on both sides of the ball, Hanceville will be looking to control the lineman of scrimmage with their young, big line unit. Averaging around 270 across the line, the potential is great.
Linebackers Connor Pitts and LJ Smith will be leading the defense, while returning receiver JT Davis will be making many players across the field. Quarterback Zach Campbell is still nursing an injury from last season, so junior Noah Jones will get the starting nod.
Coach Brewer said, “We have hit the weights really hard this offseason, and the kids worked their tails off. They’re bigger, faster, stronger. With a key line and some returning skill players, we are excited for the opportunity this season. We will keep working to improve every day.”
Hanceville opens up on the road Friday, August 18th, at Brewer high school.
