Roberts Communication conducted two polls recently for the upcoming Republican Runoff Election, and favorability to some local elected officials. The survey was conducted among likely voters in the June 21st Runoff Election in Cullman County with a 5% margin of error. 

In the poll conducted on May 26th, the results were as shown below:

Cullman County Commission District 4:

Kristi Bain – 19%

Corey Freeman – 37%

Undecided – 44%

United States Senate:

Katie Britt – 36%

Mo Brooks – 46%

Undecided – 18%

Favorability of Cullman Daily News:

Approve – 63%

Disapprove – 11%

No Opinion – 18%

Never Heard Of It – 8%

Name Recognition:

Cullman Daily – 92%

Champ Crocker – 91%

Jeff “Clem” Clemons – 69%

Garry Marchman – 66%

Garlan Gudger – 64%

Sam Roberts – 30%

Kerry Watson – 26%

Andy Pate – 23%

Sheila Haynes – 12%

Another poll was conducted on June 16th of likely runoff voters, also with a 5% margin of error. The data showed a tightening race in Cullman County Commission District 4, with an 18 point lead for Corey Freeman shrinking to only 8 points. This data trend seems to be in large part from the 44% of undecided voters from last months polls. Mo Brooks remains hold of a lead in Cullman County but continues to trail in statewide polls.

Corey Freeman – 53%

United States Senate:

Katie Britt – 46%

Mo Brooks – 54%

Favorability ratings:

Matt Gentry – 88% favorable, 8% unfavorable, 4% never heard of

Jeff Clemons – 67% favorable, 17% unfavorable, 15% never heard of

Shane Barnette – 56% favorable, 24% unfavorable, 21% never heard of

Garlan Gudger – 59% favorable, 29% unfavorable, 12% never heard of

Sam Roberts – 38% favorable, 9% unfavorable, 54% never heard of
