Of nine local girls basketball teams, only five advance to the next stage in their 2022 run to the Final Four.  

The Good Hope Lady Raiders, who had their win streak reset last Friday against Susan Moore, took down the Lady Bulldogs on their home floor. Next for them comes the Oneonta Redskins, a team that the Raiders have already beaten twice by fourteen points. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 PM Thursday.

West Point had a bye Monday night as they are in a three-team area. The Lady Warriors have beaten Lawrence County twice this season, once in overtime, and they look to do it one more time this Thursday at 6 PM.

The Fairview Lady Aggies started this season off on a nine-game winning streak, and are looking forward to bringing home an area championship while on the road at Guntersville High School. Coach Justin Billings lead his team to a 61-44 win Monday night. The Lady Aggies have split with Guntersville 1-1, and we will see who will win the best of three series Thursday at 6 PM.

The Vinemont Lady Eagles have recently started a new era in their basketball program as they picked up their tenth win in a season for the first time in years. Being the underdog in the two versus three-game, the Lady Eagles defeated the Danville Hawks for the first time at Phil Campbell Monday night and now faces their hardest challenge, defeating Phil Campbell at Phil Campbell Thursday at 7 PM.

The Holly Pond Lady Broncos played a hard-fought game against the Lady Lions Monday night on the road, as they picked up another win. The Lady Broncs will battle it against the Susan Moore Lady Bulldogs Thursday at 6:30 PM.
