Vinemont Elementary School mourns the loss of Mrs. Savanna Davis. Mrs. Davis was a first-year 2nd-grade teacher who was loved by many and highly respected by her peers. Savanna had a passion for teaching, especially small children. Her love for others and selfless acts of kindness will certainly be remembered throughout the Vinemont community.

Cullman County Schools Superintendent Dr. Shane Barnette said, “Our hearts go out to the Vinemont community, Faculty, and Staff at Vinemont school as we lost a phenomenal teacher today. Mrs. Davis was a first-year teacher and had a bright future ahead of her.”

Barnette went on to say that there will be additional Counselors and Social Workers on campus over the next several days.

Savanna’s mother, Mrs. Audrey Terry, who also teaches at Vinemont Elementary posted to her Facebook page and said, “My heart is broken. Savanna passed this morning due to Covid complications. Please keep Jonathan and our family in your prayers.”

Would you please join Cullman Daily in keeping Mrs. Davis, her family, friends, and co-workers in your thoughts and prayers?
