Growing up with siblings can be a pain. You argue and fight and sometimes find yourself aggravating your brother or sister, but at the end of the day, you find yourself loving them anyway.

Connie Gibbs, an Author from Morgan County, had a dream to become an Author. She graduated from Brewer High School in 1993 and immediately began the path of becoming a teacher. She spent her first two years in the Cullman County School system before transitioning to Morgan County, where she became the first Head Start teacher at Cotaco School for two years. Before retiring, she spent twenty-one years with the Morgan County School system. Her retirement opened the door for becoming an Author.

In November of 2020, Connie made her dream of becoming a children’s author a reality. Then, in May of 2021, Connie had her first book called “Why Me?” published. ‘Why Me?’ is about a sister that constantly aggravated her younger brother doing typical sibling shenanigans. But, when the little brother finds himself in a predicament on the school playground, his older sister comes to the rescue. She proves that no matter the aggravating, fighting, and arguing between siblings, they find everlasting love at the end of the day.
