Chaden Taylor, from Holly Pond, just made his dream come true. The ten-year-old dirt bike racer has qualified for the largest amateur motocross race in the world. The 40th Annual Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship will be held August 2nd through August 7th at the historic Lorette Lynn Ranch.

“The Amateur National at Loretta Lynn’s is the best of the best motocross racers in America and around the world,” said Tim Cotter, Director of MX Sports. “Just being here makes you an elite racer and a top athlete. A solid finish at Loretta’s would give you instant National recognition and a possible professional career.”

Most of America’s top professional motocross racers, including James Stewart, Ricky Carmichael, Travis Pastrana, and Ryan Dungey, have won AMA Amateur National titles at Loretta Lynn’s.

Chaden, who attends Welti Elementary School, is in the 5th grade and has been riding dirt bikes since he was six years old. Chaden is the son of Yancey and Misty Taylor. He will be racing the 65cc 10-11 limited and the 65cc 10-11 mod classes.

For Chaden, racing is the easy part. Getting to the big race is the expensive part. Our local community and the racing community have reached out to help with that cost. His sponsors include Seven MX, Scott Goggles, Illusive Gloves, Roost MX, Mika Metals, Nolin Tile, Lake Homes Realty – Cindy Myrex, Elrod Contracting, Walker Brothers – Baileyton, W&W Machine Shop, Johns Asphalt & Paving, Calloway Logging, the Pettus Family, King of the Mountain MX Series, Thompson MX Academy at Monster Mountain MX, Robertson Farms, Running Brand Farm, TDA Drywall, and a host of friends and family.

The race action will be broadcast live daily at www.racertv.com, August 2nd – August 7th. In addition, highlight shows featuring the event will air on MAVTV in the Fall.
