Christina Chambers has worked with Fox 6 over the last six years and has covered some memorable moments throughout her career. Chambers is a graduate of Cullman High School and has spent many evenings back in her hometown reporting on Cullman sporting events. While at Fox 6 News, her accomplishment is nothing less than outstanding, and her time on-air will always be remembered, but in our opinion, she will always be one of Cullman’s favorite sports reporters.

Chambers posted on her Facebook page, “I’m so thankful I’ve been able to call WBRC my home for almost six years in a city where I was born and went to college. I’ve enjoyed, more than anything, covering my hometown Cullman. Thank you for the countless interviews, conversations, and friendships with all the coaches, athletes, schools, family members, and business owners. Words can’t explain what the past six years have meant to me and how blessed I feel to have told your story. To Sheldon, Jeh Jeh, & Brian Pope, thank you for letting me be part of Sideline, the best high school FB show in the state! Working at a place that I grew up watching has been a dream, and I can’t thank Fox 6 enough. This isn’t goodbye but see you soon.”

Her time on-air may be limited now, but her passion for sports and broad journalism will continue. “You may see me on a TV from time to time, but as this chapter ends, a new one begins. I’m excited to share my passion for sports & broadcast journalism with future generations. I’m excited to say I’m headed to Thompson High School to teach broadcasting and help with athletics. If you need me, I’ll still be on social media posting about sports, running, and of course, UAB.,” said Chambers.

Christina’s time at Fox 6 will undoubtedly be missed throughout Cullman and the State of Alabama. However, we are tremendously proud of what she has accomplished and how she represented the Cullman community. We are excited to see what her next chapter in life brings with the influence she will be able to share with her students.
