The National Weather Service has our area under a Marginal Risk for severe storms (Level 1/5) mainly for Friday afternoon & Evening. Main threats are going to be gusty winds in excess of 50+ mph, locally heavy rainfall and small hail. Main headline here is to make sure you have a way of receiving weather warnings should any be issued.
The main thing to talk about is the rainfall potential through the weekend into early next week.

The forecast above from the NWS Weather Prediction center shows our area with around 4-5 inches of rainfall through Tuesday of next week. With these kinds of precipitation totals, flooding could become an issue, especially in the normal areas of concern. Remember, Turn around don’t drown!
