The Cullman County Basketball Tournament tipped off tonight with the varsity boys. The Hanceville Bulldogs and Vinemont Eagles started with a thrilling game. The Bulldogs were able to hold off the Eagles 63-62 to advance to the semifinals, where they will take on the Cold Springs Eagles.
The Good Hope Raiders took on the Fairview Aggies in the second game of the evening. The first quarter was close, but Good Hope was able to pull ahead toward the end of the half. The Raiders kept a steady lead throughout the second half and defeated the Aggies 64-54.
In the final game of the evening, the West Point Warriors dominated the Holly Pond Broncos 73-55. The Warriors got off to a hot start and were able to outman the Broncos throughout the game. The Warriors will take on the Good Hope Raiders Friday night in the semifinals.
