The holiday season is in full swing. The food pantries are pushing out food as fast as it is coming in. East Elementary wanted to give back to the community by providing citizens with food for the holidays. There are four sixth grade classes, and each class will take their turn this week, making a special trip to the Little Pantry located by Mary Carter’s to fill the shelves.

While we send our children to school, we expect them to receive an education and hopefully grow up to be a successful citizen in society. East Elementary, led by Principal David Wiggins, has gone above and beyond to provide an exceptional educational experience and provide the students with giving and caring hearts. The teachers, custodians, lunchroom workers, and office staff have overcome a tremendous amount this year. Still, their passion for teaching and caring for the students has grown exponentially through the pandemic we are facing.
