“IT IS MY HOPE THE PROBATE OFFICE WILL OPEN AS SOON AS JUNE 22, 2020”
After Probate Judge, Tammy Brown, met with a County Commissioner, the County Attorney, and Human Resource Manager the decision was made to CLOSE the Cullman County, AL, PROBATE OFFICE JUNE 15, 2020, MONDAY, DUE TO CORONAVIRUS HEALTH and SAFETY CONCERNS. This is a very real health pandemic that we all face and everyone should take this seriously.
I cannot confirm or deny any report that any specific employee has tested positive due to confidentiality reasons.
I will say that I had a professional cleaning company clean the Probate Office in the early onset of this health pandemic. I have text the County Commissioner today, June 15 and he confirmed that the Courthouse will be cleaned.
Each person has to take responsibility for his/her own actions. As your Probate Judge, I have a due diligence to ensure the health and safety for the Probate Office Employees and the General Public that we serve. I apologize to the public for any inconvenience that this decision may cause but at this point and time: IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY.
Thank you for your understanding during this time. We will keep the public informed for the Probate Office Re-Opening.
