UPDATE ON 157/278 CRASH. ONE FATALITY CONFIRMED
A two vehicle crash happened at the intersection of highway 157 and highway 278 East. A dark colored Toyota Rav 4 driven by Angelica Ruffin was airlifted to Huntsville hospital. A white Nissan Frontier driven by Randy Pope (28) of Cullman was pronounced deceased at the seen by the Coroner’s Office. The passenger of the Nissan who has not been identified was transported by ambulance to Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Traffic Homicide Investigator Sergeant Joey Duncan said the crash is under investigation.
