Mike Swafford with the Morgan County Sheriffs Office said “a total of 7 adults were dead after responding to a call on Talacuh Rd. Once officers arrived the found the bodies and a small fire. The deputies were able to quickly put the fire out.”
Morgan County Sheriffs Office along with the FBI task force is currently investigating and looking for the suspect.

At approximately 11:23pm Deputies responded to a gunshots call in the 500 block of Talacuh Rd in Valhermoso Springs. We confirmed 7 adult fatalities. The scene is secure and no immediate threat to the public in the area. No suspect in custody.
Morgan County Sheriff and Madison County Sheriff Crime Scene Units are processing the scene. The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is part of the FBI Violent Crimes Taskforce which is also assisting. Sheriff Puckett, Coroner Jeff Chunn and District Attorney Scott Anderson have been on scene throughout the night and morning.
DETOUR: Talucah Rd will be closed near Lenox Dr. Use Johnson Landing Rd and Chapman Hill Rd to go around the scene.
