Wimbledon officials announced on Wednesday morning that for the first time since the second World War, the world’s oldest Grand Slam tournament has been canceled. It joins the growing list of sporting events to be called off this month, such as the Tokyo Olympics.
Wimbledon was scheduled to be held this summer, from June 29 to July 12.
