Cullman High School varsity girls came away with a 9-0 section victory over Pinson Valley High School on Monday afternoon. Singles wins were earned by Kate Krigbaum (#1), Katia Peterson (#2), Caroline Hill (#3), Sophia Karolewics (#4), Emma Murphree (#5), and Sara Beth Land (#6). Doubles wins were #1 Katia/Elizabeth, #2 Kate/Emma, and #3 Caroline/Sophia.
On Tuesday both the boys and girls teams swept Gardendale High School 9-0 in section matches. Singles winners for the boys included Jackson Murphree (#1), Tucker Rainwater (#2), Chas NeSmith (#3), Jacob Donohue (#4), Jaden Orr (#5), and Eli Chaney (#6). Doubles wins were earned by #1 Jackson/Tucker, #2 Chas/Jaden, and #3 Jacob/Eli. Singles wins for the girls were earned by Kate Krigbaum (#1), Katia Peterson (#2), Caroline Hill (#3), Sophia Karolewics (#4), Emma Murphree (#5), and Sara Beth Land (#6). Doubles wins were #1 Kate/Emma, #2 Caroline/Sophia, and #3 Katia/Sara Beth.
