Cullman High School was placed on Heightened Awareness after a student allegedly made a threat. The student was determined to NOT be on campus at the time of the threat. CHS was placed on “Heightened Awareness” until the students location was determined. Once the student was located, CHS was taken off Heightened Awareness and is currently operating at normal.
“The safety of our students is always our number one priority. Heightened Awareness is implemented when there is potential for an unusual situation. Today, we deemed it necessary to implement a Heightened Awareness protocol in order to ensure the safety of our students. We will always err on the side of caution in matters pertaining to student safety. As always, we appreciate the support and diligence of the Cullman Police Department.” – CHS Principal Kim Hall
