In the early morning hours on February 11, 2020 the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Dispatch lost contact with a sheriff’s deputy during the heavy rain.
The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Deputies located the injured deputy a short time later. They discovered he had wrecked on Highway 69 South and was unconscious.
The deputy was transported to a Huntsville hospital.
The deputy’s K9 partner was also injured and was transported to a local veterinarian.
