The Cullman Police Departments Traffic Homicide Unit is currently investigating a hit and run where an elderly male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
Sergeant Joey Duncan with the Cullman Police Department said dispatch was notified around 8:06 pm that there was a pedestrian in the roadway on Main Ave/7th Street SW. Upon arrival, it was determined the elderly male had been struck by a vehicle and due to the severity of his injuries, the Traffic Homicide Unit along with an air ambulance was called in. Due to the injuries sustained, the victim was transported by air to a Birmingham hospital.
