The Hanceville Police Department was able to obtain two search warrants for conjoining properties in the 1400 block of county road 545 after numerous complaints and an overdose that took place at the properties. The warrants were executed on December 20th and five suspects were taken into custody.
James Davis (36) was transported to the Cullman County Jail where he is awaiting probation violation hearing.
James Nelson (29) was booked into the Hanceville City Jail and has made bond.
Anita Whitehead (47), Tammy Whitehead (38), and Damian Blair (41) were booked into the Hanceville City Jail and being held until they face the judge due to prior charges.
Assistant Police Chief Adam Hadder said “after several complaints to these properties we were able to execute two search warrants. We found Methamphetamine, Suboxone, and paraphernalia (IE: needles, smoking pipes).”
“Anytime you can get meth off of the street it’s a good day. Meth is hands down the number one illegal drug of choice right now in Cullman County. It’s at an epidemic level.
So, even though others will take the place of those arrested and continue to sell Methamphetamine, maybe we saved someone’s life by at least getting this off of the street.” – Assistant Police Chief Adam Hadder
