One fatality occurred when a Toyota Rav 4 traveling southbound on Highway 157 collided with a Dodge Ram traveling northbound on Highway 31. Jesse Burdine (63) of Gulfport, MS was pronounced dead after being flown to a Birmingham hospital. Jessie was the front seat passenger in the Toyota Rav 4. Tiny Burdine (55) of Gulfport, MS was the driver of the Toyota Rav 4 and she was transported to Cullman Regional Medical Center. Alex Smith (20) of Cullman was driving the Dodge Ram and was transported to Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Traffic Homicide Investigator Joey Duncan stated the crash is still under investigation and no further details will be released at this time.
