Last month the Cullman Police Department was defeated by the Cullman County Sheriffs Office in the highly anticipated Pig Bowl. The smack talk between the two teams started almost immediately after the game was announced and teams started being formed.
Chief Kenny Culpepper and Sheriff Matt Gentry have a little side wager going on. Whichever team was defeated had to serve the victor’s lunch. The Cullman Police lost the game and Culpepper stood by his word. Culpepper had this to say when asked about serving the winning team. “To the victors goes the Bar-B-Q. The Law Enforcement Officers in Cullman County are close-knit. We may compete hard like two brothers but at the end of the day, we are a family. We are proud to share in fun fellowship and some good-natured ribbing with the Sheriffs Department.”
Thank you to all of our Law Enforcement Officers for protecting our great community.
