Thanks to an anonymous citizen, Rylie Nicole Killion (19) and Nathaniel Clay England (18) both of Cullman were arrested Tuesday evening around 8:30 pm on 5 counts of theft (4th) misdemeanors.

An anonymous citizen witnessed Killion and England stealing mail from someone’s mailbox. He quickly called the police and was able to follow the vehicle the suspects were driving and give a clear description of the vehicle. Cullman Police Officer Jacob Lambert was able to catch up to the suspect’s vehicle at highway 31 and 157 where Officer Lambert and Sgt. Trey Higginbotham took both suspects into custody after recovering a bag full of other people’s mail.

Cullman Police Sgt. Adam Clark questioned the suspects which lead to searching an apartment where several hundred pieces of mail and packages were recovered. Early Wednesday morning, both suspects were interviewed by the Federal Postal Inspector with the United States Postal Inspector Services. Federal charges are expected to be filed once the U.S. Postal Inspector presents the findings to the Federal Court.
