A mother has been arrested in the death of her of two “small children” near the Baileyton area according to Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry.
“Anytime a person would do this to children, there’s only one word, evil,” said Gentry from the scene.
The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the deaths.
On Saturday October 12th, at approximately 2:30pm, Cullman County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a 911 call from a residence on County Road 1718 near Baileyton.
After arriving on scene deputies located two juvenile children that were deceased.
There was a short search in the area and the suspect, who is related to the victims, was located and arrested and taken by AIR EVAC to a area hospital.
There is no danger to the local community and CCSO will provide more details in the coming days.
