Hanceville Elementary’s 3rd-grade classes set sail on the RMS Titanic this week. Teachers Peggy Hudson, Jamie Rockwell, and Morgan Bradford transformed their rooms into the most popular cruise in history while also dressing the part.
Bradford said, “ We introduced the story of the Titanic to the kids by doing a play in the Story Works Jr. magazine. The children were so engaged we decided to do a book study on the book I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic. We wanted to make our study more interesting for our students and actively engage them in the process.”
The children were welcomed at school and before entering the classroom, each child was given a boarding pass to set sail on the voyage for a wonderful day of adventure.
