Diamond Simmons, an All-Star athlete from Hanceville High School accepts an assistant strength and conditioning coach position with the University of Missouri.
Simmons was selected 3A Back of the Year after his stellar performance in 2011. He continued his education at the University of North Alabama. He has been a Strength and Conditioning coach with Morehead State University and will now take his expertise to the University of Missouri.
“First, I would like to thank God for everything because I’m nothing without him. Second, I want to thank Morehead State University for giving me an opportunity to further my education and coaching experience. I also want to thank all the student-athletes at MSU for putting their trust in me. You all have shaped me into the coach I am today.
I’m excited to say I’ve accepted an Assistant Strength and Conditioning position for 🏈 at the University of Missouri. I can’t wait to continue my coaching career alongside some amazing coaches. I would like to thank all coaches who supported me and for those who never gave up on me when I needed them the most! New Chapter! #GoTigers🐯”
