Decatur, Ala – On August 19, 2019, members of the Decatur Police Department were dispatched to the 1800-block of 5th Avenue, in reference to an unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle.
The victim reported, when she went outside of her residence on the same date, she discovered that someone had stolen her purse out of her vehicle.
During the course of the investigation, Gary Peoples was developed as the primary suspect.
On August 23, 2019, Peoples was located by Officer Darius Carr and was transported to the Decatur Police Department.
Peoples was subsequently charged with unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle.
Peoples was transported to the Morgan County Jail and booked in for his charge.
Peoples was held in lieu of a $50,000.00 dollar bond.
