DECATUR – HELP LOCATE: On August 9, 2019, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Decatur Police Department responded the 1200-block of West Moulton Street, in reference to a shooting investigation.
Officers made contact with a victim, who had two gunshot wounds. The victim was transported for medical treatment with non-life threatening injuries and has since been treated and released.
Through the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as 27-year-old Johnny Darryl Strong (DOB: 10/15/1991).
Detective S. Mukaddam took over the investigation and obtained a warrant for the arrest of Strong — charging him with assault in the second degree.
The Decatur Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Strong.
